The lagoon of Canaima
Relax on the beaches of the Canaima lagoon or in the Canaima Camp before starting the journey to Salto Angel by boat.
You can walk behind the Salto Sapo waterfall to get to the other side of the river. Visit Canaima National Park, the largest in Venezuela (29.000 square km) and featuring the highest waterfall (3225ft.) in the world… the Angel Falls. High table mountains, the permanent green jungle, the charming waterfalls, rivers and lagoons – these are only some of the highlights that make Canaima always worth a visit. During the boat trip to Salto Angel you have a minimum of two nights in the jungle.

Tour description
Day 1
In the morning, flight from Ciudad Bolivar to Canaima (1 hour and 15 minutes). Boat trip across the Canaima lagoon along the waterfalls Ucaima, Wadaima and Hacha. visit the island Anatoly. Hike across the island to the 'Playita' (small beach) and the waterfalls 'Sapo' (frog) and 'Sapito' (small frog). Followed by an overnight stay in rooms with bathroom at the base camp in the Indian village by the lagoon. (-/L/D)

The golden Salto Angel
2nd Day
In the morning, hike to the small port of Ucaima. A four and a half hour boat trip on the rivers 'Carrao' and 'Churrun' to the island 'Ratón'. A one hour hike through the jungle to the base of Salto Angel with swimming opportunities in its natural pool. Afterwards a hike back to a wonderful open-fire barbeque at the camp in front of Angel Falls. Overnight stay in hammock with mosquito net. (B/L/D)
3rd Day
In the morning you return to the Canaima lagoon. Opportunities to swim in the lagoon or visit the Indian village. Opportunities to buy handicraft. In the afternoon you fly back to Ciudad Bolivar. (B/L/-)
